Returning to Hassell as a respected senior design practitioner with considerable lived experience in workplace and coworking design, commercial building strategy, adaptive re-use and aviation, Philip’s deep knowledge of project management and working client-side give him a unique 360-degree vision of what’s required to deliver great projects.
Philip worked across our Brisbane and Sydney studios as a Principal for ten years before going client-side as a consultant on high-profile projects for Australia Post, Aurora Energy and Tascorp. In his new leadership role providing strategic and operational oversight to clients and project teams, Philip not only delivers great design but puts into practice his innate ability to understand all aspects of a project from his client’s point of view.
Also responsible for developing the integration of our Interior Design team across projects globally, Philip believes successful design is about producing spaces that deliver a sense of place and purpose to those who occupy and use them.
He thrills in the challenge of unique briefs and creating adaptive spaces embedded with an effortless creativity and beauty. A pragmatic yet creative, forward-thinking collaborator, Philip champions innovation and the inherent long-term benefits in every project.
