Property Council of Australia appoints Hassell leaders to shape the future of cities
Hassell leaders Natalie Busch and Polly Gee, Ingrid Bakker and Caroline Stalker have been appointed to Property Council Australia (PCA) committees nationwide to lend their expertise to shaping the future of cities.
Joining a cohort of industry experts in specialised committees for the PCA — the leading advocate for the Australian property industry — the group will advise on a range of issues spanning commercial offices and developments, cities and emerging precincts, diversity, equity and inclusion.
“My interest and something I look forward to as a member of the PCA’s Cities and Emerging Precincts Committee is to help champion a strong sustainability agenda to underpin how we deliver resilient future communities and environments,” says Natalie Busch, Managing Principal of our Perth studio on Whadjuk Country.
With a background in landscape and architecture, Natalie believes each design challenge proposes an opportunity to connect place with purpose. “I believe it’s always good to approach design challenges with a curious attitude as it makes you question the purpose of what we are trying to achieve and how this will impact our communities and environment well into the future,” says Natalie.
Melbourne-based (Wurundjeri Country) Principal Ingrid Bakker has been appointed chair of the PCA’s Commercial Office Committee in Victoria. Ingrid is responsible for some of Hassell’s key commercial projects, including the recent Seek global headquarters in Melbourne.
“As the Sector Leader of Commercial and Workplace at Hassell, I am really interested in how our commercial buildings and workplaces will change to accommodate the new ways of working that many organisations are grappling with.”

Brisbane-based (Yuggera and Turrbal Country) Principal Caroline Stalker has been appointed to the PCA’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee in Queensland. An architect, urbanist and champion of cities and places for more than 30 years, Caroline is looking forward to building on the PCA’s history of leadership in tackling ongoing diversity and equity challenges in the property sector.
