Cancelled: Taking the stage at SXSW 2020
Update: Due to the ongoing spread of Novel Coronavirus, the City of Austin has cancelled mass gatherings, including South by Southwest 2020. SXSW has released this official statement.
We are saddened by this news, but understand it was not a decision made lightly. Ours teams worked hard on delivering two engaging panels on topics that we are passionate about, and look forward to presenting these panels at some point in the future.

Two Hassell-curated panels will feature on the incredible 2020 program for South by Southwest (SXSW).
‘Living on Mars, Beyond Surviving’ imagines how we can create spaces for people to live in the far corners of the Universe.
‘Maps, Murals and Meaningful Moments’ explores how we can combine design and data to tell local stories that engage and empower urban communities.
Votes from the public, plus SXSW’s advisory board and staff, picked this year’s program panels from over 6,000 proposals.
The SXSW conference and festivals happen each year in Austin, Texas, since 1987. They celebrate the convergence of the interactive, film, and music industries through exhibitions, screenings, performances and panels.
Richard Mullane says the festival is an intersection of creative disciplines in an emerging, global urban culture.
“These conversations draw on our past experiences and look towards the future. They expand our creative fields and bring in new design thinking approaches and more innovative collaborators to our clients and projects.”
Headlining the conference’s 34th edition are former President and COO of Nintendo America, Reggie Fils-Aime, and Sonic Youth musician and visual artist, Kim Gordon.
Previous highlights include a keynote by Elon Musk, performances from Johnny Cash and the Flaming Lips, and product premieres from Twitter and Foursquare.
