Meliá Chongqing wins at 2022 Golden Bund Awards

Meliá Chongqing Hotel and Resort in the heart of China’s scenic Tieshanping Eco Area is the winner of the Silver Award in the Best Hotels category at the Golden Bund Awards.

Hassell Associate Frank Feng collected the award together with our client, Ms Jianhua Du, Deputy GM of MCC Real Estate (Chongqing) in a ceremony, which took place last week in the captivating coastal city of Qingdao, China.

“The design team’s dedication and commitment to design excellence is reflected in the outcome,” says Ms Du.

“Since opening, the hotel occupancy rate has been higher than average and our guests have loved the hotel experience.”

Hidden within a verdant forest and accessed via a winding path through tall cedar woods, everything about our landscape architecture and interior design for this lakeside resort aims to emphasise a calming, seamless connection to nature.
