Hassell leader selected as Ambassador for Leeds City Council
Hassell Leader, Transport EMEA Hiro Aso, has been selected to join the City of Leeds Council, U.K., as an Inclusive Growth Ambassador.
Hiro is one of nine newly appointed Ambassadors that will meet regularly to help drive the aims and objectives of the city-wide Leeds Inclusive Growth Strategy. The strategy focuses on three themes of growth across the city; people, place, and productivity, to provide opportunities for the community to reduce unemployment and increase wages by supporting a wide range of businesses.
Councillor Judith Blake, Leader of Leeds City Council, said: “Building a strategy that focuses on inclusive growth means giving everyone across the city the chance to benefit from a strong economy. As an example of this we are dedicated to ensuring Leeds has a city centre with affordable, flexible spaces for new and SME creative businesses.”
Hiro said that he’s looking forward to working with the community and meeting with his peers to ensure that small businesses, schools, and creative industries have a voice when it comes to city planning.
“The Leeds Inclusive Growth Strategy has big ideas, focusing on backing innovators and entrepreneurs in creative industries and ensuring they have the right support. This is important for the future of Leeds and I’m looking forward to being a part of it,” he said.
