Café Lafayette’s eclectic design up for award
A Melbourne café with a surprising mix of Japanese influences and bushranger motifs has turned heads at the 2020 Eat Drink Design Awards.
Opened early in 2020, Café Lafayette’s design reflects the experimental nature of the menu. The dichroic glass and stainless steel creates a kaleidoscope of colours that reflects across the various surfaces to catch diners off-guard.
The café has been shortlisted for Best Café Design. Winners will be announced in November, check out the other shortlisted projects in the 2020 Eat Drink Design Awards.
