Shining a light on Circular Design: Hassell presents Ale.01 for Artemide

Building Design (UK) features our Ale.01 lighting design collaboration with Artemide, which was showcased at Milan’s Salone del Mobile. ​“We wanted the design to be elegant and minimal, working like a suspended element,” says Federico Venier, associate at Hassell. ​“With the support of Artemide’s experience, we designed the geometry of each optical emission to achieve almost zero glaring effect. Creating the right curve of the body was crucial to achieve a perfect lighting diffusion and the right amount of LED for the best lighting performance, not wasting energy while enhancing wellbeing.”

Town Hall Place to tap into Melbourne CBD beat

The AFR reports that planning approval has been granted to Lendlease for the 16,000sqm development above Town Hall Station, designed by Hassell architects, in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. ​“The transformation of this site will showcase how smart over-station development can unlock the potential of our cities by linking key transport interchanges with exceptional retail, workplace, and lifestyle experiences,” said Tom Mackellar, Lendlease’s managing director of development.

Deloitte, BDO lease office towers of the future

Global advisory group Deloitte is set to welcome staff into its new office [in Quay Quarter Tower] at Sydney’s gateway, Circular Quay, which will offer not just sweeping harbour views, but all the amenities and technology needed in the new era of work practices… The floors also offer quiet spaces for wellbeing and flexible work opportunities.
