Mike Wood

“Our design choices have a big impact on future generations. We have to think about critical issues like biodiversity and habitat, as well as how to create places with enduring appeal and meaning for the people using them.”

Mike is a landscape architect who joined our London studio after working on a range of public, private and mixed-use projects across Australia, Singapore and Southeast Asia.

He believes the most successful landscape projects are fundamentally flexible – and reflect a deep understanding of their natural context. They’re places that are practical but also immersive, so people feel drawn to them, in tune with them.

Mike has previously worked for Hassell in Australia, playing a key role in award-winning projects such as the transformation of Darwin’s waterfront. On all his work, large or small, he’s dedicated to sustainability – and putting people’s needs at the heart of the process.
