How to innovate aged care with the Uni of Western Australia

A walkable built environment plays a crucial role in sustainable, age-friendly communities.

Together with the Heart Foundation and the University of Western Australia (UWA), we’ve launched the Healthy Active Ageing Design Guideline to help designers create supportive environments that enable healthier ageing.

To showcase the project, Senior Associate Robina Crook and UWA’s Mariana Atkins will explore the themes, challenges, and opportunities at the UWA Social Care and Social Ageing Living Lab Research Forum on Ageing.

The event opens a dialogue between designers, carers, workers, and the community within aged care - and how the Healthy Active Ageing Design Guideline can help to establish a safe, inclusive environment.

You can find more information on the UWA Social Care and Social Ageing Living Lab Research Forum on Ageing and book your spot.
