New $600 million commercial tower proposed for development in Brisbane

The ball is officially rolling on 205 North Quay, a AU$600 million commercial tower in Brisbane’s CBD, with a development application submitted to the Brisbane City Council.

Developed by Cbus Property and Nielson Properties, together with Brisbane’s Raniga family, the tower is designed by Hassell + REX + Richards & Spence following a design competition in 2019, and will set a global benchmark for holistically healthy workplaces.

205 North Quay is a ground-breaking commercial tower, designed from the inside-out with ultimate flexibility in mind. It will put tenant wellbeing at the heart of the design - creating a holistic, healthy work-life environment.

A wellness facility will occupy an entire floor of the tower, featuring a 25m lap pool, public realm auditorium, childcare facilities, outdoor terraces on all levels, and an indoor/outdoor rooftop space.

The project will contribute to the definition of an emerging workplace transformation, with extraordinary amenity and productivity front-of-mind – to create a complete workplace ecosystem. 205 North Quay will also take advantage of Brisbane’s sub-tropical climate, incorporating a generous, naturally ventilated public realm.
