The design for the new State Rehabilitation Service (SRS) in Perth, Western Australia, is the outcome of extensive consultation with the people who will use it – rehabilitation staff, volunteers and, of course, patients. The result will be a building designed around the needs of patients and their carers with strong links to the landscape around it

This cancer care hospital design integrates with the surrounding landscape to promote optimism, empowerment and rehabilitation. The aim was to create a human scale, easily navigable precinct that fosters a sense of community for staff, clients and visitors
