Wild at heart

'Soft urbanism' is a design approach that values earth sciences and biodiversity while it twines together landscape and the urban environment. Soft urbanism can create a valid and valuable point of differentiation – at a global level as well as locally.

Wild at heart argues that there are significant opportunities throughout Perth to inject a sense of soft urbanism using our native plants, and explores design projects that are using or referencing wildflowers in the public realm to strengthen a Western Australian sense of place.
