Australian Intern Program

HASSELL offers both 6-month and 12-month paid fulltime internships for both students, who are currently enrolled at university, and recent graduates. HASSELL is now looking for talented students and graduates to join us and become our next generation. Successful interns will have the chance to work on a variety of projects to build an understanding of the functions and processes involved in project work.

Your application should include:

Construction Professionals for Signature Railway Stations

We are interested in talking to talented professional architects, engineers, builders and construction personnel about opportunities to work on the station architectural components of the Sydney Metro Northwest project.  The project is moving into the construction phase and we are seeking highly motivated personnel to work in our project studio at Showground alongside other members of the contractor and consultant teams. This role will make a significant contribution to the successful outcome of this major public transport infrastructure project.

You will require a strong commitment to design, excellent technical and project management skills with competency in REVIT and Microsoft suite to work in this collaborative environment. Your experience will demonstrate a track record of delivering high quality construction outcomes on a variety of project types and scales. This is a position for construction professionals with six years plus experience, who have excellent verbal communication skills, project management experience, strong construction detailing and documentation skills and site/delivery experience as well as a rigorous approach to detail.

Project Administrator

We are interested in talking to talented Project Administrators about an opportunity within HASSELL. Our Sydney Metro North West project is moving into Construction Phase Services stage and we are looking to provide support for this team working in our site studio at Castle Hill.

Reporting to the team leader in charge, your experience and organisational skills will enable you to take complete ownership of the role and in return you will be provided with a variety of responsibilities which will keep your role interesting and challenging.

Specific duties will include coordination and preparation of reports, completing minutes, agenda’s, and organising client meeting, client/consultation liaison and data maintenance, including the responsibility of the central project management system, encompassing documentation from the project team, client, consultants and third parties. 

Essential experience:

_5 year’s relevant administration experience working on large scale projects

_Experience in overseeing a large project site team

_Advanced in InDesign, Adobe suite and MS office applications

_Previous experience working within a site office

Key attributes:

_Proactive, take initiative and well organised

_Able to work fast under pressure and meet tight deadline

_Mature, with an attention to detail and highly resourceful

_Strong communication skills both written and verbal

_Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team

Interior Designer

An exciting opportunity exists in our Perth studio for a talented and innovative mid-level Interior Designer who’s looking to progress and step up in their career. This newly created position will work on large scale commercial workplace projects on design, detailed development and documentation. 

The successful applicant will possess excellent design skills and is experienced in using Revit with project examples and proven skill in visualising 3D interior concepts a must. A creative designer with a solid grounding in design and detailed development, drawing skills and interior package documentation. Familiarity with Australian regulations, documentation and specification is required.

Mid-Weight Interior Designer/Architect

An exciting opportunity exists at HASSELL for a Middle Level Interior Designer or Interior Architect to join the team in our London, UK studio to work on workplace, amongst other exciting projects. The preferred candidates will have proven experience in workplace interior design working within the UK who already possess a solid grounding in AutoCAD detail documentation for workplace fit-out projects. You will be a talented interior designer with excellent design skills using SketchUp 3D (or Rhino) and Adobe Suite Package. Familiarity with UK regulations, NBS specification and some knowledge of Revit/BIM is also desirable. Project portfolio examples and proven skill in visualising 3D interior concepts are required in order for the applicants to be considered for this role.
