Design Strategist – Knowledge and Sustainability

The successful candidate will actively participate in strategy projects with HASSELL and you will contribute to the deliverables of these projects. Design Manager – Construction Phase Services

The role

To lead the Sydney Metro North West project on construction phase services, working on site alongside other members of the contractor and consultants teams adding a significant contribution to the successful outcome of the major public transport infrastructure project.

You will be responsible for managing an architectural team of 10-12 people meet the volume of services required and liaise with our client regarding, commercial or contractual issues, variations and validation procedures. Mainly protecting the architectural intent of the design, oversee the technical details, and coordinate the design stakeholders and design teams and the commercial position of HASSELL.  You will manage the QA process and registers, answer RFS’s, and HASSELL internal procedures like weekly meeting, monthly reports, timesheets and invoicing and review of time charge and variations.

This role is on a contract basis until the end of the project (18-24 month period) and will be based in a site office in Castle Hill.

About you

This is a position for an Architect or Project Manager with 15 years plus experience, who have excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills, strong project management experience on architectural projects, strong construction detailing and documentation skills and site/delivery experience. This role represents HASSELL and our commercial interests so proven experience in a similar role on a large scale project is preferable.

Senior Design Strategist – Knowledge and Sustainability

An exciting opportunity exists in our Sydney studio for a talented and innovative Senior Design Strategist to join our Knowledge and Sustainability team. This role work alongside our leaders to deliver inspiring insight and solutions through research, strategy and evidence.

This role will make a significant contribution to the successful outcome of this major public transport infrastructure project.

You will require a strong commitment to design, excellent technical and project management skills with competency in REVIT and Microsoft suite to work in this collaborative environment. Your experience will demonstrate a track record of delivering high quality construction outcomes on a variety of project types and scales. This is a position for construction professionals with six years plus experience, who have excellent verbal communication skills, project management experience, strong construction detailing and documentation skills and site/delivery experience as well as a rigorous approach to detail.

Senior Interior Designer/Architect

Our Singapore Interiors team is currently working on a variety of projects across sectors that include commercial workplace, hospitality and retail, and an exciting opportunity exists for a talented and innovative Senior Interior Designer/Architect with excellent design and delivery skills to join our team. This role would suit a creative designer with a solid background in leading projects from client liaison, briefing and concept design to leading interior package documentation and coordinating a team.

The successful applicant will possess the following skills and experience:

_Singapore National
_Outstanding conceptual designer               
_Strong communication/project management skills and team leadership skills
_A commitment to the continuing development of a strong design and project management culture
_Documentation skills, professional presentation skills
_Excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills in design presentation, submission documents and reports
_Ability to exercise effective judgement within constrained time scales and resources
_Large scale commercial workplace and hospitality experience preferred
_AutoCAD and Adobe Suite, Revit preferred
_Minimum of 8 years’ post graduate experience
_Relevant degree qualification

Personal Assistant to Head of Design & Regional Manager

The role

Join our international, multidisciplinary design practice as a Personal Assistant to support two of our leaders – one of our Heads of Design and the UK Regional Manager.

Based in the creative hub of Shoreditch, this newly created position offers a variety of interesting and challenging work where no two days are the same and the opportunity to establish this role as your own.

As a valued member of our innovative studio of designers and other professionals, you will bring to the table your expertise in and enthusiasm for being organised, communicating well and managing priorities.

About you

You are reliable, proactive and intuitive, with a track record of developing and maintaining internal and external relationships through enhanced interpersonal skills. You are outcome-focused and appreciate that no task is too big or too small in your willingness to support the wider studio (as necessary).

With at least five years’ experience as a PA/EA supporting at least two senior/executive managers, you have proven yourself to be a trusted point of contact who ensures discretion, professionalism and confidentiality. Experience in and/or knowledge of a design practice or similar industry is desirable but not essential.

You have experience in complex diary and travel management and demonstrated initiative in email management, with the ability to make informed decisions to prioritise communications. You have advanced knowledge of MS Office (including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and are an intermediate user of Adobe InDesign.

With strong communication skills, you can prepare quality proposals, submissions, board papers, presentations, marketing materials and other forms of documentation. Your ability to use initiative and prioritise multiple and conflicting deadlines has enabled you to meet tight timeframes and deliver quality results under pressure.

Associate Interior Designer/Interior Architect - Team Leader

Our London studio is currently involved in a number of high profile, international projects in the commercial workplace, education and other sectors. With our project workload increasing, we are now seeking a creative, interior design / interior architect Associate with a strong focus on project delivery and client engagement to join our expanding team as a valued team leader.

In this position, you will apply your excellent understanding of a workplace design and delivery process in the London market from client liaison and concept design to leading interior package documentation, technical detailing using AutoCAD and NBS specification as well as outstanding leadership skills. 

As a talent team leader, you will bring to this position:

_Excellent design, presentation and graphics skills
_A minimum of 10 years’ experience at a senior designer level working within London market on workplace projects
_A consultative approach to managing clients on design and technical aspects of a project
_An ability to manage multiple teams and inspire design excellence across all projects
_Proven experience in directing a design team through design documentation - leading interior package documentation, technical drawing and writing specifications required
_Site experience required with contract administration experience preferred
_Commercial awareness in the management of finances, resources, and personnel at a senior level
_Relevant experience briefing and operating as the key project stakeholder liaison
_Proactive approach in building and maintaining client relationships with an interest in driving new business opportunities
_Willingness and interest in leading and mentoring our emerging designers in design, industry and technical issues
_High proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
_A working knowledge of Revit would be an advantage, but training will be provided where necessary
_Relevant degree in interior architecture, architecture or interior design

Our London studio is looking for a talented interior designer/architect with excellent design and delivery skills to join our team working on a growing number of exciting high profile workplace projects. A creative designer with a solid background at leading design firms, the preferred candidates will have proven experience in all aspects of workplace design and delivery in the London market from client liaison, briefing and concept design to leading interior package documentation, technical detailing using AutoCAD, NBS specification and knowledge of BIM processes. Experience in working on integrated projects in education desirable but not essential. 

Key skills and experience:

_Excellent design, presentation and graphics skills
_7 years minimum experience gained working within UK (preferably London) market on workplace projects
_Relevant degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture
_Client facing experience
_Experience with AutoCAD, Revit (at least basic skills desirable), SketchUp and Adobe Crative Suite. Knowledge of Rhino desirable but not essential for this role
_Proven experience in design documentation - leading interior package documentation, technical drawing in AutoCAD, NBS specifications - required
_Self-motivated focus to achieve project deadlines
